Event Day Information
Mardi Gras Madness will be held rain or shine Sunday, February 23rd at Valencia Town Center in Valencia - 24201 Valencia Blvd, Valencia, CA 91355. Click here for directions to Valencia Town Center.
Start location will be in the lower parking lot behind Sears, along Citrus avenue. There is ample free parking on-site. Access parking via either Valencia Boulevard or Magic Mountain Parkway. Please note, parking access from Citrus Avenue will be restricted on race day. Click here for a detailed map of the event area.
Onsite registration unless sold out available at Valencia Town Center during early packet pickup and on event day beginning at 6:30am for folks still wanting to get on board. Credit card or Check made payable to SOAR accepted for all onsite registration. ID required for complimentary 8 One 8 Beer Garden Wristband for participants 21 and older.
20 Minute / Mile Time Restriction
In the interest of public safety and impact to local traffic during the event, the MGM 5K/10K maintains a 20 minute per mile time restriction. Course ‘Sweepers’ will be released to walk the course 20 minutes after the 8:00am start, and initiate course breakdown as they complete the course. Please be advised, there is a dirt equestrian trail element as part of the 10K course from Mile 3.25 Mile 4.85. Click here for a map of the course.
A special note for dog owners. All K9 participants must be on a static leash. Retractable leashes are not allowed. Please pick up after your pooch.
Legacy Runners
Mardi Gras Madness Loves Our Legacy Runners!!! Legacy Runners will be identified by a special LEGACY label attached to your bib. Be sure to stop by the awards table to pick up your 2024 Legacy award after the race!
8 One 8 Beer Garden
Participants 21 and older are invited to visit the 8 One 8 Beer Garden and enjoy a post race craft beer tasting compliments of 8 One 8 Brewery. ID is required to receive a 2025 Beer Garden Access wristband.
No exceptions will be granted. Wristbands will be available at early packet pickup and on race morning. Access to the Garden is restricted to adults 21 and older only. 5K/10K registration includes one free beer tasting. Additional tastings can be purchased from 8 ONE 8 Staff on race morning.
Raffle Prizes
Bring a few extra bucks to purchase raffle tickets on race morning and grab a chance to win other great prizes! Tickets are $1 each or 10 tickets for $5

7:15-7:25am - 1K Warm-Up Powered by Fit4Mom SCV.
7:30am - 1K Run/Walk Start
7:40-7:55am - 5K/10K Warm-Up Powered by Fit4Mom SCV.
7:55 - National Anthem
8:00am - 5K/10K Start
8:30-10:00am - Awards ceremony / Best Dressed Giveaways / (all participants must be present to win).

• Awards for 5K/10K Women & Men Overall winners.
